Synopsis

A Swan Lake is a contemporary adaptation of the classic Swan Lake choreographed by Johan Inger. Based upon "The Stealing of the Veil" from Johann Karl August Musäusʼ considered to be the origin of Ivanov and Petipa's Swan Lake, this rendition offers a nuanced exploration of the perennial narrative, delving into themes of love, betrayal, freedom and transformation, adding layers of complexity to the narrative through its modern lens.
