Kevin Redding's one and only porn appearance is in Tom DeSimone's The Idol (1978), a well-produced true classic of '70s narrative gay porn. Redding, at the time a waiter, was sleeping with performer Nick Rodgers who referred him to Tom DeSimone, leading to his starring role in the film. Redding reportedly was extremely pleased with the outcome of the film, but intended only to perform in one movie.
