Biography

Janet-Rose Nguyen is an award-winning actor, writer, and director whose films have screened at festivals around the world. Her projects have been selected to pitch at the Marché du Film in Cannes, JETS at the Berlinale, and the Tribeca Creators Market. A Top 10 finalist in the ScreenCraft Horror Competition, she is also an alumna of Hillman Grad’s Rising Voices Canada, Stowe Story Labs, Reelworld’s E20 Program, and the Canadian Film Centre's Actors Conservatory. Her work blends horror, comedy, feminism, and queerness through an Asian diasporic lens. She is completing her debut feature, Welcome to Kurosawa House, and showrunning a new digital series for Bell Fibe TV1.
