Biography

Aaron Pratama is a young writer and director based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He studied film at Jakarta Institute of Arts where his graduation short film, Throughout These Cages (2025), had its World Premiere at Busan International Film Festival 2025 and was also selected In Competition at Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival 2025. His previous short film, Mikrokosmos (2024), received several awards at national film festivals across Indonesia. He is currently developing his next short film project, which was selected at Minikino Shorts Up! 2025, a short film development lab powered by Minikino, Purin Film Fund, and MTN Seni Budaya Indonesia. At the same time, he is writing debut feature screenplay, which was selected for the Netflix Screenwriting Fellowship by Soda Machine Films.
