Biography

Ghantasala Sai Srinivas Thaman Siva Kumar (born November 16, 1983), known professionally as S. Thaman, is an Indian film score composer, playback singer, and drummer who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema. After early work as an apprentice rhythm player under M. M. Keeravani and a supporting role as an actor in the coming-of-age musical *Boys* (2003), he debuted as an independent feature composer with the action comedy *Kick* (2009) and the Tamil thriller *Eeram* (2009). Through the 2010s, Thaman composed soundtracks and background scores for commercial action features, including *Brindavanam* (2010), *Dookudu* (2011), *Businessman* (2012), *Race Gurram* (2014), and *Sarrainodu* (2016). For the action drama *Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo* (2020), he won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction. His subsequent scoring credits include the period drama *Akhanda* (2021), the bilingual family drama *Varisu* (2023), *Guntur Kaaram* (2024), *Game Changer* (2025), and *The Rajasaab* (2026).
