Biography

Gerard Lima is a Brazilian-born writer, producer, and director based in Florida. Known for his hands-on approach to independent filmmaking, Lima creates character-driven projects that blend emotional storytelling with genre elements. He began his career as a writer before moving behind the camera, eventually founding his production banner, Lima Films. Lima has written, produced, and directed several shorts and micro-features, including Always Live, Laugh, Love, Gone (2017), and Desolation of Evil (2020). His work reflects a strong DIY ethic, often taking on multiple creative roles across development, production, and post. In addition to filmmaking, he occasionally appears on screen in supporting roles in his own projects. Dedicated to original storytelling and independent production, Lima continues to develop new films that highlight intimate drama, suspense, and character-driven themes.
