Biography
Sergei graduated from the Faculty of Art History at the Russian Christian Institute of Humanities (St Petersburg). In 1991, he enrolled in Alexei German’s directing workshop (the First and Experimental Film Studio, ‘Lenfilm’), from which he graduated in 1997. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as an assistant director on the set of Alexei German’s film “Khrustalev, My Car!” He has won awards at Russian and international film festivals. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Cinematic Arts at the St Petersburg State Institute of Cinematography.
